Platform Disclaimer and Limitation of Liability
Knowyu operates strictly as an intermediary and a common platform to facilitate educational connections between students, parents, tutors, and institutions. By using Knowyu, you acknowledge and agree that the Platform Provider does not create, endorse, or control the user-generated posts, tutorials, materials, or communications shared on the app. Consequently, you agree that you will not hold the Platform Provider, its founders, directors, employees, or affiliates liable or responsible for any user activity, post, content, educational material, or interaction that occurs on Knowyu.
Waiver of Legal Action
By agreeing to these Terms and Conditions, you explicitly waive your right to initiate, join, or participate in any legal case, lawsuit, class action, or legal proceeding against the Platform Provider arising out of or related to the content, materials, or activities on Knowyu. Your sole remedy in the event of dissatisfaction with Knowyu or its user-generated content is to stop using the application and report the issue to the moderation team.
User Responsibility to Report and Flag Content
Because Knowyu functions as a common platform, reliance is placed on the community to help maintain a safe and productive educational environment. You agree that instead of holding the Platform Provider responsible for objectionable, inaccurate, or inappropriate content, you will take the responsibility to immediately flag or report such posts, activities, or materials using the in-app reporting tools. The Platform Provider commits to reviewing flagged content in a timely manner and taking appropriate moderation actions as deemed necessary.
Right to Account Deactivation and Suspension
The Platform Provider reserves the sole and absolute right, at its own discretion and without prior notice, to deactivate, suspend, restrict, or permanently terminate any user account (including student, parent, tutor, or institutional accounts) found or suspected to be engaged in problematic, inappropriate, fraudulent, unlawful, or abusive behavior, or in violation of these Terms and Conditions.
Parent, Guardian, and Institutional Responsibility
Because students cannot register themselves, any parent, legal guardian, or educational institution that registers a student on Knowyu assumes absolute and full responsibility for that student. By registering a minor or a student, you agree that:
- You are entirely liable for all activities, posts, requests, communications, and conduct of the student on Knowyu.
- You are responsible for actively monitoring the student’s use of Knowyu to ensure compliance with these Terms and Conditions.
- You will indemnify and hold the Platform Provider harmless against any claims, damages, or losses resulting from the student's actions, content, or violations of these terms.
